September Eleventh Two Thousand And One

By Natalie Cribari

This is for the innocent, who were killed on that day,
For the hurt and the sorrow, along with the pain.
This is for the people, who lost a great friend,
To you, I grant happiness, and the power to mend.
Our city may burn, our people may perish,
But strongwill and faith, our country will cherish.
This is for the red, the white, and the blue,
Whatever lies ahead, i know we’ll pull through.
